We have two different types of group events that we usually run here at the school - ProKart Grand Prix and ProKart Enduro. Details on each are below.

ProKart Grand Prix

The ProKart Grand Prix is a race program that was specifically designed for corporate entertaining, team building, and group events. The program utilizes our 10hp Briggs and Stratton powered ProKarts, which are capable of over 50mph and easy to drive fast right from the start. The time length of the ProKart Grand Prix is approximately 2 hours for 10-25 participants, 3 hours for 26-50 participants, and 4 hours for 51-100 participants.

Intro

To begin, there is a driver briefing which covers the unique controls of a kart including driver safety, flags, and the rules of racing.

Getting Ready

Now its off to the track where each person is separated into race groups then assigned safety gear and rotated through the program. There are 4 to 10 participants per race group. The program begins with a "lead and follow" exercise with no passing, followed by a practice session with passing. Finally, each group is ready for wheel-to-wheel racing!

The Race

Each race is 8 to 10 laps. The top 1 to 5 finishers of each race advance to the main event. There will be a last chance qualifier (when needed) in which the top 1 to 5 finishers advance to the main event. The main event is 8 to 10 laps and the winner is awarded with a Bondurant T-shirt and a podium presentation.

ProKart Enduro

The ProKart Enduro is a race program designed specifically for the ultimate in team building. This program utilizes our 10hp Briggs and Stratton powered ProKarts which are capable of over 50mph and simple to drive fast right from the start.

Intro

To begin, there is a driver briefing which covers the unique controls of a kart including driver safety, flags, and the rules of racing.

Getting Ready

The driving starts with an open practice session for all competitors in no particular order. This gives everyone the opportunity to learn the karts and the track. Depending on the size of the group there may be a second session in which teams will be able to practice pit stops, determine the driving order, how long each person will drive, and plan race strategies.

The Race

The typical main event is one hour in length, but varies with group size. At the finish the checkered flag will fall and the team with the most laps wins.

Rules

Each team will have to do a pre-determined number of pit stops with driver changes based on team size.
If you do not come to a complete stop entering the pit there will be a 5 second penalty.
Rough driving will result in a black flag and a stop and go penalty.
Failure to complete the correct number of pit stops will result in a one minute penalty per pit stop not completed.
