Kart School FAQ

There are a a few questions that we are frequently asked here at the Bondurant Kart Racing School. If you find your answer below, great, if not, please feel free to contact us and we will get your questions answered as quickly as possible!

How fast will I go at the school?

How fast do you want to go? You're driving! How fast you go depends on you and your abilities, and higher speeds will come with knowledge and experience. While we encourage participants to find their limits, every student is coached at their individual comfort level. We also start with a variety of karting exercises geared to teach you the basics of kart control. Only after you've established a solid foundation will you be able to drive to the best of your abilities.

Why the Bondurant SuperKart School ?

Just ask any Bondurant graduate, we offer the best professional driver training curriculum anywhere. One of the biggest distinctions is the fact that we have our own purpose-built training facility here in Phoenix, Arizona. Everything is designed with high performance and race driver training in mind, from the 3.5-acre asphalt pad and 2/5 (or 1/2) mile kart circuit, to the classroom and garage complex. We have adapted our 38 years of high performance driving techniques of instruction into a karting program that will challenge both the novice and the seasoned veteran.

How many schools do you have?

One. And it's located near Phoenix, Arizona at the Firebird International Raceway complex. We're about 15 minutes south of Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, just off of the I-10 freeway.

We offer gift certificates for whatever you may want to do. You can make it for a dollar amount towards a course, or for the entire course amount. What we'll do at that time is issue an "Open Date" which entitles the holder to take advantage of the certificate for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

What about helmets and driving suits?

We provide gloves, rib protectors, neck collars and Bill Simpson Impact helmets and racing jackets. If you have your own safety equipment and would be more comfortable wearing it, please feel free to bring it. Racing suits, shoes and other related safety equipment are also available for sale at the Bondurant SuperKart Store.

Do you hold courses in the rain?

Although it is rare in the Valley of the Sun to rain, it does occur and the track may be declared undriveable. In this instance, you may reschedule your course or receive a full refund. If you are already scheduled and the sky looks dark, please call 480-403-7676 to speak with an instructor to confirm your course will be held. No show = 100% loss of course.
